Carskey Bay, Far End
18C It had been wet during the night but it soon dried up and we had sunny sunshine for quite while before some more cloud appeared though the afternoon. Light then moderate S/WSW/SW breeze.
Apothecary7's day off.
At 9.30am we drove the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. No seals at Kiel. The tide was well out. As we had hoped the beach was empty and we had it all to ourselves. We walked along to the far end. The sea and river had made large sand spit at the far end and we were able to get out to the end of that. On the way back there were lots of Ringed Plovers darting around.
Lunch at home.
Later Apothecary7 was painting.
