St Ninian's Isle

Had to pack up the flat this morning. Walked to the ferry terminal and put the bags into left luggage. Breakfast at the Peerie Cafe again. Bus to Channerwick and transferred to small bus to Bigton. Walked over the tombolo to St Ninian's Isle. We didn't have time to walk round the Isle but wandered about till we disturbed two adult bonxies (great skuas) which are not birds to mess with. Retraced our steps, saw a couple of wheatears as well as many coastal birds. Did the bus journey in reverse, had lunch at the Peerie Cafe and have now called into the museum. Sadly ZE1Christie isn't here today but I left him a note.

Soon we'll need to head back to the ferry terminal. The boat leaves at 17:30 tonight as it's on the Orkney run. Should be in Aberdeen at 07:00 tomorrow when we'll go our separate ways.

A wonderful few days in beautiful Shetland. It's been so, so good.
