Don't Even think about it, say No Go.

When we lived in a little village, much as I tried I could not fall into the other mothers pattern of rise, Supermarket Sweep, Nursery, Endless cups of tea, tv and then bed, with a bit of housekeeping and mothering thrown into the mix.

I could watch of a morning as the Nursery walk commenced. I watched the mothers to the left of our house slowly make their way, one by one, as they exited- in order of farthest away first; they approached and another mother would pop out of a door, and together with their assorted sprogs they would wind their way down to the road.

It was timed to perfection. The last mother out of the house was met, and left, just as the closing credits of Supermarket Sweep. She would then fill in the other members of the Nursery the results of the Dash. Great Times.

When I went back to work part-time they were gobsmacked. Why would I want to? Did I not know of benefits? I didn't have to work, there were ways and means.

But to be honest.... a life made exciting by Supermarket Sweep was not for me.

And I like to think my Kids have benefited from me being satisfied.
