Absolutely fabulous walk

Having woken at 04:30 to drive to Martigny to drop off our friend to get to the airport, we took the opportunity to tackle a long walk over various cols in valleys we had not visited before. It was splendiferous. The variety of landscape, geology and backdrops of glacial 4000m peaks was amazing. So much so it was only later we realised our accomplishment of 1482m ascent and a distance of 22km. Enough for a good sleep!
