Peruvian lily......

.....also known as Lily of the Incas or more commonly as Alstroemeria. The genus was named after a Swedish baron by his close friend.

We had a wonderful day catching up with family here at home who have moved from the North Island to Christchurch. Lots of chatting, laughter, a stroll through my winter garden and a trip up to the hangar where the men talked engines. So touched to be given these delicate and pretty alstroemerias, thanks P and B for such a lovely time, lovely to have mum share this day with us of which I'm sure there will be many more.

A late blip, in fact a back blip as it's now the next day - oops! I'll be back later today to do Tuesday's blip.
