After a relaxing thirty minutes, there followed a less relaxing period attending to the needs of a Portobello resident. 
Still, by late afternoon equilibrium had been restored and we were offski up to Festival Central: the absurdity that is our old High Street. On to the Outsider to meet L&P and then to the R4 BBC Comedy award semi-finals. We were forbidden from taking to social media to divulge the two winners but, well, blip… is that a thing on anyone’s radar? I don’t imagine Aaron Banks or Putin funding this place with dark money and fake profiles. Apart from ForthPorts. And possibly ‘Mr Smith.'
Anyway, let’s just say that Janine Harouni and Mo Omar were streets ahead of the others. And let’s hope the judges thought so too. 
Talking of Aaron Wanks, I see that Stella Creasy MP opined (after being termed ‘Remainer vermin’) that the head of Leave.EU was maybe ‘overcompensating for something’ wink wink. The Leave.EU funder Banks then came back to say mockingly, are you a psychologist then? To which the riposte should indeed be, don’t ask questions you don’t know the answer to, for Ms Creasy has indeed a doctorate in Social Psychology from the LSE. Nice!
