Colour matching
I have Leonine to thank for drawing this great tool in Photoshop to my attention. Very useful to get rid of a colour cast.
Duplicate your layer and on top layer go to Image--> adjustments --> colour match and, in the box that opens, click on neutralize. (a couple of sliders above it that may be useful.) Click OK and then if the effect is too pronounced lower the opacity of that layer.
We looked at two tutorials on the subject: Colour matching and Match colour. I followed this last one to change a red rose to a yellow rose and then went a bit mad with the background!!!
