Actor's reflection

Due to our recent house move, been busy unpacking boxes today, some from ages ago, and found this. I remember making it about thirty years ago when I was stuck at home recovering from 'flu. I think it meant something pretentiously important then - like "can we possibly see ourselves objectively?" - but I now think it's a nice visual joke, and a pleasing little object to rediscover.
