Neck twisting!

Today the birdwatching group went to Venus Pool nature reserve near Shrewsbury. There was nothing unusual around but we saw a pair of Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Nuthatch and young Greenfinches amongst many other varieties.

We just missed this young heron catching a large fish moments before entering the hide. It had got a bit of it's dinner caught on it's beak and was contorting it's head to get rid of it. I hope that it succeeded.
