No Phone ,No Internet

How did we manage before we had such things. I was 18 before my parents got a phone and a fridge! I was 21 when they agreed a TV might be a good thing to have. We have had no internet or phone since the thunderstorm on Monday and we felt lost. 
Two vans and two men came today and 4 hours later we were back!
