Earwig and fly

didn't notice the latter until I cropped the pic.
Very heavy rain overnight, fortunately we seem to have escaped any problems, and more heavy, but short, showers during the day, with a bit of sun.
At a meeting this morning and then had to go and stock up on food as the fridge was getting a bit bare.
Yesterday evening I was saying to someone that every time I went in the loft to get something I should also take down some of the rubbish so when I went up today for dolls' house things I brought down an extra box of stuff and managed to throw away at least half of the contents. I also threw out a tent we haven't used for 25 years that had a tendency to leak in heavy rain. we'd kept it initially because the kids played in it.
3 new people at the running group, all seemed enthusiastic
