Yesterday someone asked me if I was standing on a chimney when I took the photo so I thought today I would expand my view.
My point of view was from the top of The Ballast Banking. This photo is taken from the view finder at the top.. it’s pointing to Goatfell which is 21 miles away.
The Banking was built in 1840 by the Duke Of Portland who wanted to protect his newly built harbour. My extra shot shows it’s position against the street
Today it Mostly protects the houses behind it and the marina; and provides a lovely view up the Clyde and over to Arran and down to Ailsa Craig.
Each morning Since Monday I have walked to top looked at the view and wander along and back down before work ....
I’m trying to increase exercise and stamina-
