Abra Alhambra!
After a leisurely start to the day, we thought we would take a tour round the magnificent Alhambra Palace.
Unfortunately the entire of Tokyo had the same idea! After an hour and a half of queuing, we were told over the PA system, that all tickets for the morning were sold and we would have to get a ticket for 2 o'clock.
Undeterred, we did just that and had some coffee etc and at just before two, we joined another lengthy line and entered the Palace grounds.
It is a magical place with fantastic gardens and more than a hint of Ali Baba about it. We had to queue for another 40 minutes to enter the Palace itself, but it was definitely worth the wait. Especially as queuing in warm sunshine is less of a trial than it might be.
At last we set off on the last leg of our journey. Arriving at mi casa just after six, we had completed our 1950 mile trip without major mishap. As it happens, the trusty steed seems to have healed herself and required no topping up of radiator at all this morning. How's about that then?
Mum was very relieved to see us in once piece. She must have thought we had been set about by thieves and vagabonds at every turn. After all we had traveled through France, hadn't we?
But now I am home and happy to be here. GallusBesom (now back to good old Jezzebela) has a few days yet to enjoy Spain and I have a few before school starts again.
What a great start to 2013.
