Sculptural

Today I had the joy of visiting Gladstone’s Library in Howarden, Flintshire (north Wales). It was a beautiful building and the library was perfect - dark and quiet and full of books!

Before that we had a walk around Howarden Estate; literally ‘around’ it, as we seemed to stay outside the enclosing wall the whole way along the country path.

I took this photo of a blasted tree stump near the beginning of our walk and although the library building was wonderful, there is something about this photo that I like - so it is my blip!

I’m currently staying with some uni pals in Chester and having a great time catching up. It is very special to be on the receiving end of warm hospitality :)
