Waiting
We had a very long journey down to Bristol as we had something to collect for Grace from just north of Cannock but it does mean we keep seeing a bit more of the Midlands. A glimpse of Cannock chase and a passing glance of Lichfield cathedral which we will definitely visit one day!
Nice weather all the way so Grace whisked is off to Clifton in the hope of seeing some balloons as it is the Bristol International ballon festival. Today was the only decent forecast of the weekend so we did hope there might be some flying. We took a picnic for Eda and got ourselves a couple of drinks from the new cafe at the Camera Obscura above the Avon Gorge and the Clifton Suspension Bridge. We had a nice time but sadly no balloons. The information on line was that they were tethered in Ashton Court but nothing to say they were going to fly. They did fly this morning at 6.00am apparently, lead by Darth Vader! They don’t normally on the Thursday but did so because of the forecast.
We had a nice time anyway and are glad we are here balloons or no balloons. Eda had a play in the adventure playground before we climbed up to the viewing area above the supspension bridge. She loves to bounce!
