Friday checkout

A much longer Friday than usual placed me at the supermarket bang on 4.30pm, one of the worst times to be there even if you're only buying a few things.

Outside the weather is threatening as 2 enormous low pressure systems dance together to the south and west. The supermarket in the dry but at 4.30pm on a Friday is preferable to the supermarket in the wet and cold.

I'm sure that supermarket checkouts are the same the world over. We all want to be out if there and some place else.

I had a training day at work, my role as a helper and as a participant. It was great. My colleague is a gifted presenter and it was hugely engaging.
