Blue!

More amazement from the hedgerows.  This species is not always blue and that's not at all uncommon, I've found, but I'm still looking at it with awe.  

Whilst this little guy was lapping up nectar, I was supping coffee in the Ilkley sunshine while dropping the van in for a service. With the van off the drive, I decided that pressure washing the driveway would be good timing and then set about with teak oil on the garden furniture.  

Little Dog joined me to collect the van and had a bonus treat from the garage owner who doesn't have a dog any more but keeps a stash of biscuits in his drawer for his favourite visitors. 

It's been a productive and rather fine day.
