We saw the sea

We went to the Isle of Sheppey today for a wander around Elmley nature reserve and then for lunch at the Harty ferry inn where Mrs WW finally got close to the sea. The ferry stopped in 1953 and now there are 2 bridges onto the island. This remote part of Sheppey is far removed from the caravan city of Leysdown-on-sea and the former steel works town of Sheerness
