New Zealand's Christmas tree!

There is nothing quite like walking along one of New Zealands beaches and having the beautiful Pohutukawa trees to admire. They're just so beautiful when in full bloom and really do make it feel like summer!
We walked along New Plymouths coastal walkway today. Our visitors from Auckland were extremely impressed with the level of care that has been taken in creating such a useable walk way and also marveled at the Te Rewa Rewa Bridge which is 83m long and is reminiscent of a breaking wave or a whale skeleton. Its the first time since we moved down here that we have done it and I can see it being a regular outing for us..
