Bridgend
We spent the night at Killinallan. The wind started to get up around midnight but we slept regardless and woke to an easterly blowing about 50mph. No leaks, thank goodness. It was quite nice to lie in our sleeping bags all snug and warm, waiting for the storm to blow over.
Once it did, we went down to the Loch to look at the beautiful, constantly changing colours in the sunlight. Six or seven seals popped their heads up every now and then and Jess was fascinated (see extra).
In the afternoon we visited Bridgend, where there is a huge walled Community garden, looking in need of some more of the Community to tackle this huge job. The polytunnels (Tom, Dick and Harry) were looking good, though, and I couldn't resist blipping these tromboncino squash!
A visit to Bowmore Coop next for some shopping ( we recently sent off for a Coop card and have used it three times already) and then along the racetrack to Port Ellen and up the winding road to the Oa where we are spending the night.
I've made the tea and its time to tuck in. Have a good weekend, everybody!
