I hadn’t realised before now how many other artists were involved in the development of the ‘Glasgow style’, working in collaboration or learning from each other. Many of the exhibits were so beautiful; I especially liked the work of the Macdonald sisters, one of whom (Margaret) went on to marry CRM.

We also went to see Warhorse in the Liverpool Empire this afternoon. I enjoyed it so much! The horse ‘puppets’ are really excellent and the whole performance was very moving.
