Following last Saturday's trip to Peterhead, Falkirk had their first home league match of the season this afternoon. And what an afternoon it turned out to be!
Two goals ahead against Dumbarton after only eleven minutes, the Bairns were 5-0 up at half-time, with Dumbarton having a penalty kick saved by our goalkeeper too.
The second half was a more sedate affair - one more goal for Falkirk to make it 6-0 and a few missed chances for either side, but it was really a matter of seeing the game out comfortably and a win that will do our confidence no harm after the trials and tribulations of last season.
Only two games gone, and another 34 to go, but we're all happy on the Navy Blue side of town tonight.
