Simple gifts

From Rebecca, one of the temporary teachers. It’s from Granada, near where she lives and we’d enjoyed talking about it.

A good day with coffee to start with, with a new friend from Oz. Always good to hang out with fellow countrymen. A few exams, chats with colleagues, coffee with a colleague and his family. Then I took Rebecca to the club for dinner. We enjoyed a walk on the beach and then ate. The club was deserted, as is Kuwait for many have left to enjoy the Eid holiday elsewhere. Many have five days off, if not more.

Sad to say goodbye to Rebecca, just one of those special people you connect with. I’m lucky to meet so many good people in my travelling life but the goodbyes are challenging..
