Kingfisher

It was the monthly Stobo Village Hall coffee morning this morning. We were a rather small group this morning but I think a lot of people are on holiday just now.

There was a bang on one of the windows and when we went outside to investigate it turned out that a kingfisher had hit the window. As you can see from the picture it was able to open its mouth and move its head. We left it alone and when someone checked about half an hour later it had gone. Apparently someone had seen it fly off.

I did some gardening this afternoon and got stung on the face by a blooming bee!
