Norwich Cathedral with a difference
After a late night of chatter, but only one bottle of wine between us, we were up at about 9. Jon took Mollie and Henry to work and we had a leisurely breakfast together in the conservatory.
At 11 we drove in to Cromer and had coffee and cake in The Hatters Tea Shop where Mollie works. It was very nice (I'm not counting calories this weekend!) and it set us up for our day.
We drove in to Norwich, and had a scenic walk along the river to Cow Tower, then to Pulls Ferry and up to the Cathedral. It was a touristy historic walk. At the cathedral, we saw a wedding group taking photos in the cloisters, then we went inside to see the helter skelter which was installed this week. The cathedral was buzzing, and unnaturally noisy for the inside of a cathedral. We walked all round, but chose not to go for a ride (or is it slide?) today.
More walking, talking, shopping then dinner in Prezzos. Finally on our way back to the car, we went in search of a geo cache near Fye Road Bridge, which has, up to now, eluded me in my lunch breaks. Both ladies were new to geocaching, so Joanne was particularly excited (did you hear her in March?) when she located it - despite not knowing what she was looking for!
We drove home arriving about 9. Tea, wine, nibbles, a film......and then a power cut (see extra)
A lovely day with lovely people.
