David and Goliath ....

Another wet start. The winter barley is badly needing cut, but it won’t be today . And the 20 acres of spring oats that was looking good on Thursday is now flat as a pancake which will make harvesting it a salvage job at best . Bugger .
The rep from Rickerby’s dropped off this wee 4 ton trailer we have bought this morning. The fact it was on this 240Hp Claas tractor made it look even smaller.
An afternoon spent attempting to hack my way through the lawns which haven’t been cut for a month . Had to abandon the job to go and help wee brother calve a heifer . The calf was dead so came home and lifted the calf I have been bottle feeding to twin onto her .
Another down pour with thunder and lightning this evening . When will it ever end ?
