Pfaueninsel

I got out of the city by running most of the 15km to Pfaueninsel. I'd intended to run it all, but it was too hot in the Grunewald until I got the breeze across the lakes.

Pfaueninsel (Peacock Island) was a royal retreat for a few decades from just before the end of the 18th century, and has some delightful small buildings in a planned landscape. See extras.

There were peacocks, but none displaying.
