Nice dog

This morning we walked from the house into Alexandra Palace Park and down through the Farmer's Market, which is held there every week. A lovely atmosphere with a lot of meeting and greeting and chatting going on and lots of things to taste and buy . . . we did both! 

It was hard today to imagine this lovely tree-lined road through the Park without stalls, without people, but that was what it was like just over eight years ago when the whole family was brought here for photographs after our daughter's wedding. It was a lovely sunny day, just like today and the perfect place for photos. 

And today we even ended up having Sunday lunch at The Victoria Stakes, the same place where the wedding reception was held. Some splendid food was served then in a large covered area at the back, just where we sat today. Good memories. 

It was a nice walk back through the market to find families sitting on the grass in the parkland, having picnics from food they had bought from the stalls.
