Goldfinch

I had a quick trip to the nature reserve before meeting my BIL, nephew and wife for lunch and it was lovely to see three Goldfinch.  They didn't stay all that long, but long enough to get their phots taken - a nice bonus for me because they were unexpected.  We've still had some rain today - not much but it's been colder; it's looking like the summer is coming to an end without really materialising.  I shall hope for an Indian summer - to my mind that's the best of all.
