For Painting

One of those frustrating days today when things don't quite go to plan ...

Several of the photographs from the past few days while we were helping with our daughter's house move have not synchronised properly from Lightroom Mobile - or not synchronised at all :-(  Not lost - just not where they were supposed to end up.   So my entries for the past few days are out of order - but since they are just a diary of what happened I'm not going to make any more changes. 

Gill is wanting to start a new painting at Art Group tomorrow so we have been searching through our Scotland images for something suitable and she has settled on this one taken from one of the small beaches below Culzean Castle.  I did some faffing about in Photoshop trying to align two images to get something with a reasonable depth of field, a useful exercise, but not quite the results we wanted. She does at least have a couple of prints which should serve the purpose well enough. 

My blip is one of them, edited and then oil paint filtered, so we will see how it compares to the painted result in a perhaps a couple of weeks.

Aside from that, I loaded up a few film images from the returned scans - they are in my film journal.
