Violet ground beetle

This rather wet beetle was running around on the ground today.  Very windy outside so hopefully he found somewhere safe to hide.  

I had a wander around the development later in the day and all the trees seem to be standing, which is good.  A very lazy day of not doing much at all.  Best idea when it is super windy!
