Just part of the harvest from the allotment.

I can guarantee every time I turn ground on my allotment I will find at least 1 nail/screw, to add to the collection. No good to man nor beast more's the pity.

My first job this morning was to check out the bean wigwams on the plot.  A little tweaking  was required as they were all leaning at a jaunty angle. More strong winds this afternoon so will probably need my attention again tomorrow. Runner beans, courgettes, blackberries & blueberries picked. I pulled out the two squash plants I'd grown from seed saved from Butternut squash that I'd eaten. Lots of very vigorous growth but not one flower formed so not worth wasting giving liquid feed. A critter had nibbled one of the Turk's Turban squashes so that was discarded as well. Another bunch of Sweetpeas, lovely perfume but the stems disappointingly short.
Back home, breakfast, more blueberries :), eaten out in the garden. Love it! The sun was really warm.

The rain over the past couple of days has made the ground perfect for planting so that was this mornings activity,  planting up the  new border in the front garden. A few less pots now :) Hubby tidied up the garden shed, we took a boot full of stuff up to the allotment shed, he went off to watch the footie in the local pub with a friend & I carried on with my new window dressing project. I'm really pleased with the effect.  Time to make dinner.

Just watched 'My Crazy Rich Asian Wedding' documentary on Channel 5. It's another world!

Finished The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society this morning. Loved it! So now I need to find another book to read.

Thanks to Marlieske for hosting.

Goodnight Blippers!
