Devore...
Dionne Swift is a textile artist who works with a process developed in 17th Century France known as 'devore' meaning to devour/eat away/burn out.
Using a combination of silk and viscose materials "the chemical burn out process of devore produces real depth and allows the structural magnificence of the cloth to be fully appreciated." Her work is influenced by the moors and valleys of Yorkshire.
I bought this some years ago when her career was just starting and still love it.
Another indoor blip today as I had an injection into my knee this morning and am supposed to rest. Hopefully I shall be running around tomorrow...!
