9ct gold cufflinks

These were my Dad's and they were hallmarked in Birmingham in 1945-46. The anchor is Birmingham. 375 means 375 parts out of 1000 gold or 9 carat- 9 parts out of 24. 24 being pure gold. Pure gold is too soft to make things from so gold is alloyed with other metals.
