Summer lights

A bit of a Meh Monday, nothing to report in the office, no programme catastrophes, no domestic crisis.

One of my oldest (time known, not age) friends is over from Sydney at the moment and we're meeting for lunch tomorrow. It's a couple of years since I last saw her so I'm really looking forward to it. We've known each other for around 30 years, she's a rower and I'm a sailor and we used to spend hours debating the weekend weather forecasts and comparing race notes and war wounds (mostly me) on Mondays. We also spent a fair bit of the 90s drinking cocktails!

The garden lights haven't made it up yet. I wonder if we'll get any more summer or if they'll go straight back in the garage.
