Lukas Nursery: Butterfly
One of our local nurseries also houses a butterfly (& bird now...it was only butterflies the last time I'd gone) "encounter"; basically a green house filled with butterflies. It is not peak season, so there were only 4 or 5 varieties that we could see and not very many of those species either, but it was something to do and the $10 entrance fee that covered both of us went to a good cause (keeping the house and nursery mom-and-pop nursery going) so...par for the course.
The humidity fogged my camera for the first half of the walk through and Sean was feeling crappy (some sort of allergies...?). I didn't want to drag him back through again, so a lot of my photos came out with the lens fogged. He was a good sport to start with and it just wasn't the best day in the world for the trip. But it was neat to see the butterflies and the birds and I got a couple of 'okay' pictures. I also picked up a rosemary plant and a mini african violet for my "collection". Not a bad last day off of work at all.
