Dry Valley

The dry river bed goes right through the village.....and for most of the year....it is as it looks today.
Dry.
However, is is also our safety valve.....when we experience torrential heavy rain....this is where the water flows.....
Saving the whole village from flooding
It’s a favourite walkway for dogs, and their owners....

The Parks department keep it in an attractive state....
but the Police Local are very keen that motorists don’t park on any of the bridges......too dangerous,
in the event of a sudden storm surge, the bridges are
liable to be swept downstream
