Escape to the Beach

Temperatures reached 40C between 3 and 4pm today. After a 3 mile recce around the estate with a location scout and a trip up to the loft of the Ropery I was sweating buckets. Guarding props by one of the ships there was no shade. So the answer was ice lollies from the kiddies’ beach!

Found some respite from the sun in the cafe writing a risk assessment which was a welcome relief. Ended the afternoon with a tour of the submarine for the film security crew. Must’ve been mad it was SO hot in there!

Climbed 10 flights, walked 5.6 miles and 15,000 steps today. Phew!

Such a relief to get home and take off my safety boots. Tomorrow I’m back in trainers as the film construction site is gone from one production and its back to a normal filming day tomorrow for another shoot.
