West Arlington Covered Bridge - Vermont
The West Arlington Bridge is one of Vermont's best loved and most photographed covered bridges. The picturesque setting includes views of a local church steeple and the former home of artist Norman Rockwell. Rockwell's home is now known as the Inn on Covered Bridge Green and operates as a Bed & Breakfast Inn.
This is the January page of my new calendar that my sister put into my suitcase before I left USA last summer. I was very keen to see covered bridges on our journeys - so I now have a fab calendar of 12 covered bridges to enjoy all year!
Norman Rockwell is a famous US artist and my sister has an enormous book of his life and work that she picked up in an antique store. During our visit, Susan went off to an art exhibition with my niece and her friends and Susan arrived home with a block mounted Norman Rockwell masterpiece, painted by one of Emily's friends.
All my decs came down today and were packed away with love and tissue paper til next year. It takes hours and as fast as the decs come down, my usual wall and table follies are returned to their place. I moved the furniture and enjoyed my lovely home.
I ordered a heated clothes drier today - one of these investments that should have been purchased a very long time ago but other essentials got in the way.
