Wall Street

What a mixed up day today! I went to the Walled Garden to dig potatoes and pick runner beans and three times had to shelter in a polytunnel during the heavy showers of rain. The rain sounds even noisier under plastic, of course, but when the showers were over the sun came out and shone brilliantly for another half hour! 

The guys are outside beginning to build the new low wall under the bank - it's slightly quieter than when they were breaking up the concrete with a drill, but this afternoon they're only cutting concrete blocks so at least we don't have the vibration! So we'll end up with a gravel path between the house and the new wall.
