A Light Trim?

A bit more than a light trim but we are told that the tree management in our road is necessary to keep the trees safe.  It all looks a bit severe at the moment but we know from past experience that they will grow back to their full glory.  They are lovely lime trees that line the street and make it a green and shady place to live.  We do all moan a bit about the leaves of course, and the bumpy bits on the pavement and where the kerbstones stick out as a result of the roots  taking inconvenient routes (Pardon the pun!)  The tree people are about two thirds of the way down the road, I expect they will be finishing tomorrow.  They have managed the process well with notices and with a person watching out for any cars needing to leave the avenue while the work is going on.
