Mystery tour

I was quite pleased to go over the Simplon pass which is very civilised when it comes to hairpin bends (I love them but my backseat drivers tend to put the dampers on things).
Then we came to a road that turned into a railway track. I didn’t know what to make of it. I don’t trust the Hyundai’s satnav and was worried we’d end up back in Italy.
But we didn’t.
