It's August!

Such a horrible day weatherwise. I drove to Hammersmith Hospital to pick up John and bring him home after his op yesterday through intermittent rain. Non stop wetness on the return with huge amounts of spray coming off the lorries. Straight forward journeys in both directions but lots of traffic.

It was so cold and dreary that we have lit a fire. 'But it's August' I said! The fire was still lit and is very cosy.

John is back to his normal self but has to take it easy for a few days and not do any heavy lifting. He said the hospital was quite noisy at night but I suppose that's inevitable. All checks this morning were good so let's hope everything stays that way.

Onward with all the plans we have in place.
