Morning walk after the rain

Fort Worth seldom gets significant rainfall during August.  Today was a treat.  We even got some thunder and lightning.  Buddy doesn't like to walk on wet surfaces so he was a bit out of luck.  This is one of our normal walking routes.  I was impressed by the trees' reflection in the puddle.  Buddy not so much.

My friend got rather bad news today.  He had hoped that all the swelling in his limbs had been caused by a heart problem, so that it would be something treatable.  He was told his heart was strong, and that his COPD was much worse than he had thought.  He is being put on palliative care.  He is wildly independent.  I don't think this will be easy for him.
