On the Ridge with.....

... SwissPiper and MalcomsEye, looking for late Alpine flowers for TonyG. (A couple of individual extras). The temperatures had dropped to late autumnal with a north wind blowing across the ridge between Mont Rodzo and Tête Cravacol. Fortunately they had brought a spare jacket for me and we all donned trousers over our habitual summer shorts. Even hats and gloves were necessary as we scrambled along the ridge. I was glad to drive back to the warmth of Switzerland at the end of the day especially as I crossed the Grand St. Bernard Pass which was crowded with shivering tourists who had gone there in preparation for the Italian National Day tomorrow.

Hope you are still in summer warmth if you are in the northern hemisphere!
