Hythe Bay Seafood Restaurant

One would have wished for better weather to enjoy the location of this restaurant, in fact I got drenched popping outside to take the photo. We have heard many good reviews of this restaurant, but never actually got to try it before. We were supposed to eat at the Hythe Snack Shack on the beach, but seriously we are too old to sit in pouring rain for lunch! The reviews were all correct, this is now my favourite restaurant in the area! Although a seafood restaurant, serving all locally caught fish and seafood, they also do high standard meat and veggie dishes. I had pan fried hake served on creamed cabbage with a watercress Creme fraiche sauce. I couldn’t fault it. We were with Sue and Roger and a friend of theirs. We all ate different food, and all loved it!

Popped into ALDI and Waitrose on the way home for some more Saturday supplies (thank you Stalker for the fake Pimms tip - no one will ever know if I make it up before they arrive). Was disappointed today to hear that Daniel and Kazz will not be here. 2 out of 3 sons not making it to the family and friends do.

I got drenched again when walking Dog, but needed to get some steps in, so volunteered! It is cold, wet and windy this evening and we are fighting the urge to put the heating on!
