Verbena Rigida Venosa

As I was walking past one of our florist shops this morning I spotted this plant thinking that it was Verbena Bonariensis. All the Verbena Bonariensis that were in my garden have disappeared.  However when I got home and looked at the label I discovered it was an alpine plant Verbena Rigida so looked it up courtesy of Mr Google. An article in the Telegraph at some time had said 'Named Verbena rigida after its upright habit, this front-of-the-border performer, although only a foot or two in height, can outshine almost everything else, particularly in late autumn sunlight. The hundreds of tiny flowers found on each upright head will provide a purple haze from June until October. This is a plant that gives great garden value.'   Sounds good to me. He only had one plant so I will have to see if he gets any more.
