Entertainment
A pretty miserable day but not a bad one for going to the cinema.
After Pilates, when amazingly the rain had stopped, we headed over to Ilkley. These clocks are in the waiting area where you can have a drink. Unfortunately I could get rid of the reflected light but I thought it suitable for wide Wednesday especially with the theme ‘entertainment’. The film ‘The Current Wars’ was Chris’s choice but I enjoyed if not totally understood it. It was about the competition between Edison and Westinghouse to provide electric light across America. The actors were predominantly British (Benedict Cumberpatch as Edison) and it amused me that Westinghouse’s house, supposedly in Philadelphia, was actually Cragside in Northumberland. Appropriate as it was the first house in the world to be lit by hydro electricity.
Coming back over the moor the mist was thick, a bit like November really!
