Rain stopped play

Today rain was forecast to start at around 9am and continue for most of the day.  Sadly the forecasters were exactly right, which meant that Mr MC and Daughter #1's partner never even set out for their day at Lords.  At least there will be refund of the ticket cost as not a single ball was bowled.
I, on the other hand, braved a trip to a local garden centre with Zeus09smum, where we picked up a few nice plant bargains and even managed to get to and from the car during lulls in the  rain.  The rest of the day I spent in our top floor family/hobbies room beginning the huge task of sorting through my sewing and  craft supplies, many of which have lain untouched for far too long.  Mr MC's model railway takes up nearly half of the space (!) and he joined me, sorting and clearing his own stuff.
At some point this morning I took some shots of the rain spattered window.  I did take some garden shots later in the day, but I prefer this as being representative of weather.
