THE HARRY CLASPER ( Wetherspoons)
Woke up feeling very stiff and sore. Left knee especially painful. Chin looks like I've been punched by Mike Tyson. But none of that stopped me going to Morrisons this morning and the dentists this afternoon. The dental appointment was just for my 6 monthly check up and to see the hygienist. All was fine. The dentist was surprised I hadn't damaged any teeth when I fell over on Monday. ( So am I ).
Neil had a day off so he came to my house around 12 noon. We decided to meet up in Wetherspoons after I had been to the dentists so we could have a meal together.
I had fish and chips with mushy peas ( as you can tell I'm not following my slimming plan this week ) and Neil had a burger with chips and onion rings.
My blip shot shows the Wetherspoons - its called The Harry Clasper. Harry Clasper (1812 – 1870) was a professional rower and boat builder from Dunston. He is buried in St Mary's Churchyard in Whickham.
The Wide Wednesday theme is enjoyment and I think The Harry Clasper fits the bill. It was packed with people enjoying themselves - eating, drinking and socialising. I can also say I enjoyed myself - good food and the chance to catch up with Neil. And it was a great place to shelter from the heavy rain too. Thanks to BobsBlips for hosting
I used the Impressive Art function on my camera when I took my photo.

This evening Neil ran in a 5k race along the Newcastle Quayside and across the Millennium Bridge. He was running for his club Tyne Bridge Harriers. His target was to do it in under 20 mins and he came in at 18 mins so he was very pleased.
